About
Hi, I’m Melody.
I live in Chesapeake, Virginia, where life is wonderfully ordinary. Most days you’ll find me working, chasing after my daughter Amy, spending time with my family, reading about something that caught my curiosity, or creating in one way or another.
My family is at the center of my life, and my daughter is my greatest joy. She has a way of reminding me that the smallest moments—a walk around the neighborhood, watering the garden, reading one more bedtime story—are often the ones that matter most.
When I’m not writing, I love to paint, compose music, and learn. I’m endlessly curious about psychology, faith, nature, science, architecture, history, and all the ordinary things that become extraordinary when we slow down enough to notice them.
For many years I believed life was waiting somewhere in the future. Through difficult seasons and quiet healing, I discovered something different: life isn’t found in extraordinary milestones. It’s found in ordinary Tuesdays.
That’s why I created this space.
My hope is that these stories and reflections help you pause, become a little more curious, and find beauty in the life you’re already living.
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
